Fernie Trails & Ski Touring ClubThe FTSTC was established in 1991 and constructed the public use Thunder Meadows Cabin in the Lizard Range in 1993. The FTSTC ’s primary mandate is for backcountry ski touring activities and summer trail enhancement. Members of this association have constructed and are maintaining many of the Lizard Range and Ridgemont mountain bike trails and work cooperatively with other user groups to enhance wilderness experiences in the Elk Valley. FTSTC works to represent the public on backcountry land use issues in the East Kootenay. Email trails@fernie.com for more information. |
